China's Coship Electronics to Set Up DTV Production Base in Chengdu

Shenzhen-based Coship Electronics has reached an agreement with Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone to establish a DTV (Digital Television) R&D and production base in the development zone. Involving a total investment of 250 million RMB (US$33.0 million; US$1 = 7.6 RMB), the base will be dedicated to the R&D of value-added DTV services as well as the production of set-top boxes, front-end equipment for digital products, and automotive electronics.
